Quality Control Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Coordinator to join our team.

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure janitorial services consistently meet or exceed client expectations at Alcon Laboratories. This critical role focuses on maintaining exceptional service standards, audit readiness, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and resolve issues, manage equipment and safety programs, oversee inspections, and collaborate cross-functionally to support both janitorial services and facility compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Oversight

  • Ensure janitorial services meet or exceed Alcon’s expectations through exceptional attention to detail and consistent service delivery.

  • Perform daily campus walkthroughs to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Training Compliance & Documentation

  • Receive, organize, and sort Excel-based training reports from Alcon Management by area and due date.
  • Identify employees requiring training; filter out inactive staff and coordinate extensions for those on approved leave (e.g., FMLA).
  • Email supervisors training documents including:
    • Veeva training reports
    • Completed Group Training Records
  • Support supervisors in conducting individual or group training sessions using course materials from Veeva (Course ID: V-QMS...).
  • Ensure group sign-in sheets are properly completed, signed, and dated.
  • Compile post-training documentation
  • Audit Readiness & Compliance

  • Maintain the facility in an audit-ready state, ensuring training and quality records are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Support client audits by ensuring documentation, training logs, and compliance checklists are current.
  • Equipment Preventive Maintenance Oversight

  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for janitorial equipment.
  • Coordinate vendor visits, contractor safety training, and access systems with the Training Coordinator.
  • Safety Compliance – Eyewash & Safety Shower Inspections

  • Perform bi-monthly inspections and log all findings in Maximo.
  • Ensure timely resolution of deficiencies and maintain complete inspection records for compliance.
  • Safety Program Support

  • Monitor safety equipment (PPE stations, spill kits, etc.) and report hazards or deficiencies.
  • Participate in and reinforce janitorial-specific safety initiatives.
  • Reporting & Metrics

  • Maintain organized training and quality assurance records using Microsoft Teams and reporting platforms.
  • Summarize inspections, safety compliance, and service performance in routine reports.
  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide training and re-training of janitorial staff on both operational procedures and training documentation requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive service.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Pritchard, Alcon Facilities, Client Services, and Safety teams.
  • Support special projects, shutdowns, and events requiring janitorial coordination

???????Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in janitorial services, training coordination, or quality control in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with training documentation platforms such as Veeva, and quality management systems like CleanTelligent, OTUVY, or TRAX.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, and audit requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Office Suite.
